PetReady is owned and operated by Sarang AI Technologies Inc. (“Sarang AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a corporation incorporated in Alberta, Canada. These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Sarang AI Technologies Inc. governing your use of the PetReady mobile app (“PetReady” or “the app”). By using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. What PetReady is

PetReady is an educational self-assessment for people thinking about getting a dog. You answer a short lifestyle questionnaire, get matched to a realistic dog profile, and play through a simulated 14-day care routine — walks, feeding, water, play, the daily schedule, unexpected events, and cost estimates — ending in a readiness report. It is a simulation: there is no real animal, and no real animal is affected by anything you do or don’t do in the app. The current version covers dogs first, with cats planned.

2. Who can use it

• PetReady does not require an account or sign-in — nothing to register, and no password.
• PetReady is intended for adults considering a pet. You must be at least 16 years old, and in any event old enough under the law where you live, to agree to these terms. If the age of majority where you live is higher than 16, that higher age applies.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the app for its intended personal purpose.
• Don’t try to break, overload, tamper with, or reverse-engineer the app, or defeat the device-based checks (for example, faking GPS movement or clock changes to skip the challenge).
• Don’t copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.

4. Important limits on what PetReady promises

PetReady is not veterinary advice. The care routine, events, cost estimates, and readiness report are educational and general in nature. They are not a substitute for a qualified rescue, shelter, breeder, veterinarian, or animal-behaviour professional, and they are not a guarantee that a particular animal — or any animal — is right for you.

The readiness report is a self-assessment, not a verdict. It reflects the answers and actions you put in, over a short simulated period. It cannot account for everything about your life or a real animal, and a positive or negative result is not a recommendation to get, or not get, a pet.

Cost estimates are approximate. Real costs vary widely by region, breed, age, and an animal’s health, and can be higher than shown. Treat the figures as a rough guide only.

Device features can be imperfect. GPS distance, motion detection, and scheduled reminders depend on your device and its permissions and may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. PetReady is not an emergency service and should never be relied on for anything safety-critical.

5. Your data

You’re in control of your information. Everything you enter — questionnaire answers, your chosen dog, progress, and report — is stored on your device only; we don’t receive it, and there is nothing on our side to delete. 6. Purchases

PetReady is free to try. The full 14-day challenge and complete readiness report are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase of US$4.99–$5.99 (a single, non-consumable unlock — not a subscription, and nothing auto-renews). This is a reference price; Google Play or Apple’s App Store shows your actual price in your local currency at checkout.

• Payment is handled entirely by Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We never see or store your payment details.
• Because the unlock is permanent, you can restore your purchase on a new device or after reinstalling — the store keeps the record, not the app.
• Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their policies, and by any rights the law where you live gives you. If something has gone wrong, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll try to help.

7. International users

PetReady is available in many countries, with your price shown in your local currency by the app store. Using PetReady from outside Alberta, Canada doesn’t reduce your rights: if the law where you live gives you protections beyond what’s written here (for example, a statutory refund or “cooling-off” period, or limits on what liability can be disclaimed), those local protections still apply, and nothing here is meant to override them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PetReady is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any output — care guidance, cost estimates, or the readiness report — will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sarang AI Technologies Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app — including any decision to get, or not get, a pet — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility. Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 CAD. Nothing in this section limits liability that can’t be limited under the law where you live, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Sarang AI Technologies Inc. harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Intellectual property

PetReady — the app, its design, artwork, branding, and underlying software — is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of it, except where the law where you live specifically permits it. Any feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.

12. Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use PetReady. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or stop making it available, and we may end your right to use it if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8 through 11 and 14) continue to apply afterward.

13. Changes to the service

PetReady is actively developed, and features, content, and pricing may change over time as we improve the app. We don’t guarantee that every feature available today will remain available indefinitely.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 7 (which preserves your mandatory local consumer-protection rights), disputes will be handled in the courts located in Alberta, Canada, and you consent to that jurisdiction — unless the law where you live requires a different local process that can’t be waived, in which case that applies instead.

15. General

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of PetReady. We may assign these terms (for example, if the business is transferred or acquired); you may not assign yours.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make a material change, we’ll update this page and its “last updated” date.
